In February 2024, Owen Sound Police began an investigation in relation to the trafficking of drugs by an Owen Sound resident. As a result, on February 22, 2024, the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit, with assistance from the Criminal Investigations Branch, arrested a 27-year-old man in a park located on the east side of the city within two blocks of a school.
In December 2023 the Owen Sound Police Service commenced an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault at a local business. Ten victims, all current or past employees of the business, were identified and provided statements to police. As a result a Bruce County resident was charged and arrested.
On Sunday January 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00am, a uniform patrol member was conducting proactive patrols in the downtown core when he observed a motor vehicle committing a Highway Traffic Act violation. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was prohibited from driving, had a suspended driver’s licence and was wanted on a province wide warrant. A search of the motor vehicle led to a large drug seizure, and the male driver was arrested.
On January 11, 2024 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Owen Sound Police began receiving reports of a suspicious male who was observed by witnesses trespassing near numerous homes and entering unlocked garages and vehicles in the area between 10th Street West and 14th Street West.
On Thursday, 28 December 2023, at approximately 4:49 p.m., members of the Owen Sound Police Service, Owen Sound Fire and Grey County Paramedics responded to the intersection of 10th Street East and 9th Avenue East for a motor vehicle collision where one of the involved vehicles had fled the scene.
On Monday December 4, 2023 at 5:55 p.m. Owen Sound Police, Owen Sound Fire and Grey County Paramedics responded to a single vehicle rollover in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue East.
(OWEN SOUND, ON) – The Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have arrested a third individual in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation in Owen Sound.

On Friday October 20, 2023 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Owen Sound Police were contacted by concerned citizens about a suspicious man exiting a residence on 29th Street West in the City of Owen Sound.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday October 15th, 2023 the Owen Sound Police were called to a report of a motor vehicle colliding with a house on the east side of Owen Sound.
