OSPS is always recruiting for the postion new recruit and experienced Police Constable.

All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for a police officer as identified in the Ontario Police Services Act. In addition, candidates must

• Have a valid Class G Driver’s licence with no more than 6 demerit points
• Have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate by the time you are offered employment
• Be of good moral character and a person of honesty and integrity
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly both written and verbally
• Certification in standard First Aid and CPR (Level “C”) is preferable.

Desirable attributes also include a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement, community involvement (eg: volunteering) and a history of strong work performance.
