On Tuesday January 21, 2025 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a 2010 Mercedes travelling westbound on 8th Street East struck the rear of an unoccupied Chevrolet Cruz that was parked on the side of the roadway with its hazard lights activated. The Chevrolet Cruz was pushed forward by the impact of the collision and subsequently struck a 24- year-old female who was shoveling snow. The vehicle also hit a Volkswagen Jetta that was parked in the driveway.
On December 28th, 2024 the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a domestic assault incident in the 1000 block of 3rd Ave E. The investigation lead to the arrest of a 47-year-old Owen Sound man.

On December 5th, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado truck was stolen from an apartment building parking lot on the east side of Owen Sound.
A spare key, found by the accused, inside the vehicle was used to start the truck and a witness advised Owen Sound Police that the truck was seen leaving in a southbound direction.
On December 2nd, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing inside an apartment complex in the 800blk of 2nd Ave. E. of Owen Sound.
The Owen Sound Police Service is asking motorists to slow down and adjust their speeds according to the weather and road conditions after a vehicle lost control and rolled over. The lone driver was uninjured, however the vehicle suffered significant damage.

On November 25, 2024 at approximately 11:00 p.m. an unlocked vehicle was entered in the area of Ryerson Park on the east side of Owen Sound. The owner’s credit cards were stolen and Owen Sound Police were contacted to investigate.
As part of their investigation, police attended a nearby convenience store and identified the man responsible for theft, who had just used the victim’s credit card to purchase goods. The man was arrested and transported to the Owen Sound Police Service. The victim’s credit cards were returned to them.
