At 02:00a.m. on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023, the Owen Sound Police, Owen Sound Fire Department and Grey County paramedics responded to an East Side business after citizen’s found two unresponsive males inside a running motor vehicle.
On June 15th, 2023 at about 12:00pm, members of the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit (CORE) observed a driver perform a stunt with his pick up truck at an eastside location.
During the early morning hours of Sunday June 4, 2023 Owen Sound Police were conducting traffic observations for excessive speeding and potential impaired drivers on 8th Street East.
Uniformed members as well as members of the Criminal Investigations Branch actively searched for the missing boy who was located by Detective Constable Chevonne Martin, who located the youth in good health along Inglis Falls Road. The boy has been reunited with his family.
In April 2023, the Owen Sound Police Service received a complaint of a suspicious male in the change room of a facility.
On May 27th, 2023 an Owen Sound woman contacted police to report that her wallet had been stolen in a distraction theft. The woman had just entered her vehicle in an east side parking lot when an unknown woman got her attention by knocking on her window.
On Sunday May 14, 2023 at approximately 7:15 pm a violent altercation occurred between two males on the street near 6th Ave. E. and 19th St. E., Owen Sound.
On Tuesday May 16, 2023 just before 9:00 am the Owen Sound Police Service arrested a male party in connection with the stabbing which occurred on May 14th near 6th Ave. E. and 19th St. E., Owen Sound. The male was arrested in the area of 2nd Ave. E. and 6th St. E., Owen Sound. There are no other suspects outstanding.
On Saturday May 13, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. a patrolling Owen Sound Police Officer observed a man riding an electric bike on the west side of the city.
