Man Arrested in Owen Sound Stabbing Incident

On December 2^nd, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing inside an apartment complex in the 800blk of 2^nd Ave. E. of Owen Sound.

Through investigation, it was determined that two victims were injured as a result of the incident.

Two males were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

With the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team (ERT), officers quickly responded and one male was taken into police custody.

A 23-year-old man from Owen Sound has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Assault with a Weapon, and one count of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. 

The accused is held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled at the Owen Sound Ontario Court of Justice.

The investigation is ongoing by the Owen Sound Police Service's General Investigations Unit and Forensics Identification Unit.

The involved individuals are known to each other and there are no public safety concerns.
