MALE STABBED IN ALTERCATION

On Sunday May 14, 2023 at approximately 7:15 pm a violent altercation occurred between two males on the street near 6th Ave. E. and 19th St. E., Owen Sound.  During the altercation, a 30 year old Owen Sound male was stabbed numerous times.  The victim was taken to Grey Bruce Health Services where he received emergency surgery and remains in the Intensive Care Unit. 

The suspect, a 34 year old male of no fixed address, remains at large.  The victim and the suspect are known to each other.  Throughout the day today (Monday, May 15th), there was an increased police presence in the area as the crime scene was processed.  The Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response and Tactical and Rescue Units were also in the area and assisted in searching a nearby residence for the suspect who was not located.
