Male Arrested on West-Side After Numerous thefts and Incidents of Trespassing
On January 11, 2024 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Owen Sound Police began receiving reports of a suspicious male who was observed by witnesses trespassing near numerous homes and entering unlocked garages and vehicles in the area between 10th Street West and 14th Street West.
Officers of the Owen Sound Police immediately responded and with the assistance of witnesses and home surveillance systems, were able to identify, locate and arrest the offender on 14th Street West.
A subsequent investigation determined that the male offender trespassed at a minimum of 19 detached residences and stole property from garages and unlocked vehicles. Numerous items of property were found in the possession of the accused upon arrest. Several of these items have been returned to their rightful owners.
32 year-old Nebojsa Malinovic, of no fixed address, was on probation at the time of the incident and was charged with 31 Criminal offences. Malinovic was held in custody for a bail hearing and was subsequently remanded into custody.
