Full-Time Experienced Police Constable
The Owen Sound Police Service is accepting applications for full-time experienced police officers. Applicants must have obtained a Basic Constable Training diploma from the Ontario Police College (OPC) and be capable of performing all front-line uniform policing duties, including call response, enforcement, and community policing initiatives. Applicants must have served as an active police officer in the province of Ontario within the past three years to qualify.

In addition to possessing a diploma from OPC or its’ equivalent, applicants must:
- Have a valid Class G Driver’s license with no more than 6 demerit points
- Have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate by the time you are offered employment
- Be of good moral character and a person of honesty and integrity
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly both written and verbally
- Be a member in good standing with their current or past Police Service
Desirable attributes also include a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement, community involvement (eg: volunteering), and a history of strong work performance.
Applicants selected for an interview will be required to attend the Owen Sound Police Service at their own expense.
