The Owen Sound Police Services Board, in collaboration with the Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS), wants to hear your perceptions of crime, neighbourhood concerns, and satisfaction with police services and public safety in the City of Owen Sound.
The Owen Sound Police Service is excited to announce that they will be the recipients of significant funding over the next three years as a result of several policing grants made available by the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General under the Community Safety and Policing (CSP) Grant.
In the early morning hours of September 11, 2020 police responded to a dispute which had escalated to a serious stabbing incident in a downtown apartment. Grey County Emergency Medical Services rushed a 52 year-old Owen Sound man to hospital with serious injuries as a result of being stabbed multiple times, including in the head and neck. The man remains in hospital.
The Owen Sound Police were busy responding to several calls for service over the long weekend. Among these, officers arrested two motorists in separate incidents, one for being impaired by a drug and the other for impaired by alcohol.
