Accessibility Act
The Owen Sound Police Service proudly respects the principles, dignity, independence, integration and equality of opportunity for all persons.
As such, the Service strives to identify, prevent and remove barriers while providing services that are accessible to all persons in accordance with the standards identified in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Regulations as well as the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Every effort shall be made, in a timely manner, to facilitate the request of a person with disabilities to ensure services are provided in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of the persons with disabilities and allows for an equitable use/benefit from the services we provide.
Upon request, documents or the information contained in the documents will be made available to persons with disabilities in a mutually-agreed-upon alternative accessible format that takes into account the person's disability. This can include CD-ROM, large print or electronically via e-mail.
