Suspect Vehicle located from Friday Night's Collision
The Owen Sound Police would like to thank the assistance of the public. The white SUV from Friday night's collision has been located. The tips received from the public and witnesses have greatly enhanced this investigation and its conclusion. Police anticipate criminal charges to be laid.

Friday night at approximately 11:40 p.m. emergency personnel responded to a two-motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 6th Street East, Owen Sound. A white SUV had been south bound on 2nd Avenue East then attempted to make a left turn onto 6th Street directly in the path of a north bound vehicle. The impact resulted in significant damage to the front end of the north bound vehicle and the set off its air bags. The vehicle's 75-year-old female driver received minor injuries, for which she was treated and released. The driver of the white SUV immediately fled the area prior to police arrival and without offering any assistance to the other driver.
The Owen Sound Police are asking if there are any witnesses to the collision or if anyone might have dashcam or video footage of the accident or of the white SUV, to reach out to the investigating officer, PC Neumann at 519-376-1234 ext. 1204.
