On Thursday March 6, 2025 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a motor vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 10^th Street East and 7^th Avenue East.  Members of the Owen Sound Police Service, Owen Sound Fire Department and Grey County Paramedics responded to the scene and assisted one of the drivers, who had to be extricated from their vehicle.

The man was taken to Brightshores Hospital by ambulance for treatment of what was later determined to be minor injuries. 

The eastbound lanes of 10^th Street, between 5^th Avenue East and 7^th Avenue East were closed by police for approximately two hours while the investigation was conducted and the vehicles, a Toyota truck and a Ford truck, were towed from the scene.  

A 33- year-old Owen Sound man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving and Failing to Stop for a Red Light.
