Collision Investigation Leads To Driver Being Charged With Impaired Driving
On March 7th, 2025, at approximately 10 PM, the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 900 block of 10th Street East involving two motor vehicles. There were no reported injuries but both vehicles sustained significant damage.
As a result of the investigation a 64-year-old female from Orleans, Ontario, was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The female driver was transported to the Owen Sound Police Service where she provided breath samples that confirmed her blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit.
The 64-year-old female driver had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and had her vehicle impounded for 7 days. The female driver was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the criminal charges in March.
