Owen Sound Police are investigating a string of property crimes and thefts that occurred overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. In the early hours of Saturday police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the area of 4th Ave West and 10th Street West that was found with the driver’s door ajar.  Examination of the vehicle determined that suspect(s) had smashed the rear window of the vehicle to access the interior. A second vehicle was located in the same area with its window also broken out. Subsequent reports were received from citizens along 4th Ave West and the 400 block of 12th Street West in relation to vehicles being ransacked and various electronic items stole. Police also believe the suspect(s) attempted to gain entry to a garage and a travel trailer along the route. Based on blood evidence collected from the scenes police believe the suspect(s) injured themselves during the spree. Anyone with information about the crimes or about any person who may present with unexplained injuries possibly related to these incidents are urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
