Police Investigating Sexual Assault Allegations Against a Minor

The Owen Sound Police Service is currently investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving a former occasional teacher with the Bluewater District School Board.  On November 21st, 2019, the Criminal Investigations Branch arrested 35 year-old Mark BOWERS of Owen Sound in connection with historical allegations of sexual assault involving a minor while employed by the school board.       

 

As a result of this investigation, BOWERS is facing criminal charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and uttering threats. BOWERS will appear in Owen Sound court on December 19th, 2019.
