Owen Sound Police Auxiliary Support Salvation Army Through Local Food Drive

Posted on March 29, 2020

The Owen Sound Police Service would like to remind the community that this weekend marks the final weekend of our annual Auxiliary Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army.  Owen Sound Police Service members will be at Zehrs, 1150 16th St E, Owen Sound on Friday, December 6th from 5pm to 9 pm, and tomorrow, Saturday December 7th, 2019 from 9am to 3pm.  Donations of non-perishable food items or cash are being accepted.

Approximately 1 in 8 households in our community are food insecure, with families struggling to put food on the table.  This problem often compounds over the holiday season when additional pressures are put on families trying to make ends meet.

We would encourage anyone who would like to help make the holiday season a little brighter for families in need to join us this weekend as we work with the Salvation Army to help alleviate hunger in Owen Sound and surrounding areas.
