EIGHT STUDENTS TO HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES

Posted on March 24, 2020

On Tuesday morning just before 9:00a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred within the intersection of 8th Avenue East and 16th Street East, Owen Sound.  A school bus travelling northbound along 8th Avenue East was struck by a westbound pickup truck.  As a result of the incident, eight of the fifteen students who were on the bus attended the Grey Bruce Health Services, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.  The impact of the collision caused the truck to require a tow from the scene.

As a result of the investigation the driver of the school bus, a 62-year-old Priceville area resident, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway.
