The Owen Sound Police Service Today

Our police officers and civilian support staff provide 24 hour, 7 day a week policing services responding to a wide variety of calls for service in the City of Owen Sound, in addition to traffic safety, crime prevention and community service initiatives.

The Police Service operates from our headquarters located at 922 2nd Avenue West, Owen Sound. There is also a community outreach office located at Heritage Place Shopping Centre. The Owen Sound Police Service operates with a compliment of 40 full time officers and 3 part time officers. There are 22 full time and 13 part time civilian employees. A total of 14 Special Constables are employed assigned to court duties.

A network of numerous volunteers assists the Owen Sound Police Service in the delivery of many of our initiatives such as Citizens on Patrol, Auxiliary Police Unit and Community Safety Village to name a few.

The Owen Sound Police Service values the working relationships we maintain with our Community Partners. These relationships are essential in providing the most effective policing to those who live, work and visit our community.
