The Owen Sound Police Service is hiring full-time Team Leads for our Communications Centre. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Dispatchers, provide training, and perform dispatch duties. This position involves shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Applicants must have four years of experience in a 24-hour emergency communications setting. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a clear criminal record are required.

The Owen Sound Police Service is seeking a full-time Switchboard Operator to join our Communications Centre. This role involves administrative and emergency call-taking and dispatching in a fast-paced, computerized environment. Shift work is required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Applicants must have strong multitasking and computer skills, and excellent decision-making abilities. Preference will be given to those with experience in emergency response or high-stress call centre environments. The 911 & Emergency Service Communications program is an asset.

On Tuesday, June 10, the Owen Sound Police Service is proud to once again host the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) in support of Special Olympics Ontario.

OSPS members, local Special Olympics athletes, along with Saugeen Shores Police Service, Hanover Police Service, West Grey Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be walking and running routes across Grey and Bruce counties in Southampton, Hanover, Durham, and Chatsworth.
